Popular Bulgarian Artists
The first tier includes older performers, such as the group "Sverchki". It has been around since 1967, but its music is considered modern. The group disbanded in 2013, but Bulgarians continue to love them. One of the most popular hits by "Sverchki" is "Meeting".
Another group, "Signal", emerged in the 70s. Their style is similar to "Sverchki's", just a bit more melodious. A hit by this group, loved by almost all Bulgarians, is called "Goodbye". Among the old rockers, the band "Diana Express" stands out with their song "Morning".
The band "B.T.R." is younger, having conquered Bulgarians with the song "Diamond and Glass" released in the early 2000s. The band has other good compositions, but this one is the most popular.
In the pop-jazz genre, Bulgaria boasts a luxurious group called "FSB". Their song "In 10 Years" quickly became a hit.
Progressive music is also listened to in Bulgaria. Performer Slavi Trifonov and his "Ku-ku band" are listened to not only in their homeland but also abroad. He may not boast strong vocals, but he has some really interesting pieces in his repertoire.
Pasha Hristov and his song "A Bulgarian Rose" conquered both Bulgarian and foreign audiences. Today, this composition is performed by Maestro Trifonov.
And of course, we cannot forget Maria Ilieva with her hit "Alone", written for the film "Stolen Light". It's a truly powerful composition.
Among the young groups, the band "Te" stands out. It was this group that released the song "If Someday". Equally popular in Bulgaria is the song "You Pass by Me" by the group "Karizma".
