The city of Bansko, located in the Blagoevgrad region, was closed for quarantine on March 17, 2020. By order of the Minister of Health, anti-epidemic measures were introduced in the territory of Bansko. The restriction began to apply from 7 pm. Exit and entry are closed to everyone except special persons. cars and medical staff. Citizens with Bansko registration can return to the city until 20.00 on 03/18/2020. Many residents were taken by surprise by this news. There are many foreign tourists left in the city who are trying to leave the city with the help of the consuls of their countries. The city is the largest skiing center in Bulgaria. Despite the fact that the lift was closed several days ago, many tourists were still staying in hotels. Order of the Minister of Health:
I. Introduce the following anti-epidemic measures in the territory of Bansko from 19:00 03/17/2020:
1. I prohibit entry and exit from the city of Bansko to all persons living in the city.
2. Persons with a permanent or current address in the city of Bansko who are outside the city can return to their homes until 20.00 03/18/2020.
3. Exceptions to the prohibition clause 1 are allowed only in relation to employees of regional sanitary inspections, employees of internal affairs bodies and medical specialists working in emergency medical centers or other medical institutions.
4. The persons specified in paragraphs 1 and 2 are considered to be quarantined by this order for a period of 14 days. They cannot leave their homes except to go to grocery stores, pharmacies, banks, insurance companies, gas stations, or get medical care if necessary.
5. Persons referred to in paragraphs 1 and 2 in need of medical assistance should contact a general practitioner by telephone or, in the absence of one, doctors from the St. Annunciation" EOOD, from where they will receive appropriate instructions.
6. Persons specified in paragraphs 1 and 2 who are in need of emergency medical care that cannot be provided by city medical institutions must be transported only by car to an emergency medical care center.
7. Only medical institutions, pharmacies, grocery stores, gas stations, banking and insurance companies can operate in the territory of Bansko, subject to strict compliance with sanitary and hygienic requirements, incl. disinfection, ventilation with instructing staff on observing personal hygiene rules and removing employees with acute infectious diseases from work.
8. Accommodation establishments (hotels - editor's note) can continue to operate only if there are guests and strict compliance with the sanitary and hygienic requirements of paragraph 7.
9. Entry and exit of vehicles serving vital sectors, such as water supply, electricity supply, grocery stores, pharmacies and medical institutions, as well as banks and insurance, is permitted only through specially established checkpoints and with the permission of health authorities and the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
II. The order must be sent to the regional health inspectorate - Blagoevgrad, the relevant regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the mayor of the municipality of Bansko and medical institutions in the territory of Bansko for the implementation and monitoring of the implementation of the measures.
III. The mayor of the municipality Bansko must duly announce this order to all interested parties, paying attention to criminal liability under Art. 355 of the Criminal Code for failure to comply with this order.
