Online shopping in Bulgaria. Order, delivery and return of goods

Due to the spread of the virus, online shopping has become more important than ever. Even those who previously bought clothes exclusively after trying them on in a store began to think about online shopping. However, in Bulgaria, online shopping has its own characteristics, pros and cons, which will be discussed today.

Fashion in Bulgaria

Talking about the opportunity to dress up, one cannot help but make a lyrical digression about how things are in general with this in Bulgaria. It seems possible to buy a stylish modern item only in large shopping centers, which in turn are located in regional centers. In addition, you can often find that the assortment of an online store is wider and more varied than the collection presented on the shelves. This means that you can try on some models only by ordering them at home.

While the giants of the international fashion market in the middle price segment such as Zara, H&M, NewYorker, etc. (in “haute couture” outfits there is simply nowhere to go) every season they produce collections in accordance with world trends of cut, fabric and colors, then the assortment of local “boutiques” is based only on the purchase price of the product and the worldview of its owner.

Online shopping

The speed and cost of the delivery service in Bulgaria still pleasantly surprises me, especially considering that large international brands can afford a fixed shipping cost. For example, at H&M you can order up to 24 items, and after trying on get your money back for everything that didn’t fit. The return fee will be only 4.90 levs, you must agree that this is cheaper than a trip by car to the shopping center. So, below I will tell you in detail about my experience ordering and returning from H&M. There will be no advertising for the store in this article (a company with an annual turnover of 118,700 million does not need my recommendations); instead, a step-by-step scheme will be given for those who previously did not dare to order outfits via the Internet.

Ordering

On the website H&M click Login → Nyamate profile? Register here! Then the system will prompt you to enter your e-mail and create a password.

After this, you can immediately add things to the basket (basket). When everything you need is in the cart and you are ready to complete your purchase, click the black button Continue to purchase (Proceed to payment).

Next, you will need to enter your data (you need to enter your first and last name in accordance with the details of the card on which you will receive a refund if the items do not fit). Delivery cost is 6.90 BGN to any region of Bulgaria. If the amount of your order is more than 50 levs, then delivery will be free (use code 0405). It is possible to arrange delivery both to your home and to the Ekont office (which is the official partner of H&M in Bulgaria). You can pay for your order by credit card on the website or choose payment upon receipt.

Receipt and return

After placing your order, you will receive an email with information about delivery time. On average it is 4-5 days. Unfortunately, fitting and viewing before payment are not offered.

If you doubt that you have chosen the right size, you can order several options for the same item. In this case, you will have to return part of the parcel. Swimsuits and underwear by the way are also accepted for return. You can request a return within 30 days from the date of receipt of the parcel. The shipping cost will be 4.90 levs. To do this, you need to fill out the return form, as you can see it is quite large and requires 24 positions.

H&M Return Form

The money will be returned to the account from which you paid for the order. If the payment was made in cash, then you will need to add your bank account information (IBAN) in the "My H&M → Card and bank account" section of your personal account. Refunds occur within 2 weeks.

I advise you to carefully open the box so that you can use it again to send items that did not fit. When making a return to EKONT, simply give the sticker with the barcode that was in the box.
