Climbing Olympus
Today I’ll tell you about mountainous Greece, namely about the Olympus mountain range, famous outside the country. Like any adequate person, I want to be more effective, healthier and more resilient. Summer isn't just about beach volleyball and drinks from the fridge. Summer is a great time to give yourself something new and try something more intense than trips from the minibar to the pool. Putting tea, cookies and chatting aside, I decided to organize an independent two-day ascent to the second highest peak in the Balkans - Mitikas Peak (2917 m).

Food, shopping and places to visit in Istanbul
A whole library could be written about how deliciously they cook food in Turkey, however, we will try to mention the most important things within the framework of this article. You can start your acquaintance with Ottoman cuisine with coffee or tea. Traditionally, these drinks are served in small portions with a piece of Turkish delight and a glass of cool water. Turks treat the process of drinking coffee with respect and pay great attention to serving (this is not Bulgarian burnt coffee from a machine). For breakfast, you should try “menemen” - a type of omelette in the Turkish style, traditionally served in a special metal bowl with graceful handles.

How to get to Istanbul
The road to Istanbul from anywhere in Bulgaria will take no more than 8 hours; the border with Turkey is located in the southeast of the country. Istanbul is a city of contrasts: in the Orthodox district, women wrapped in black hijabs make purchases with a basket directly from the window of the 5th floor, and at the same time, on the Galati Bridge, barely covered with clothes, tourists admire the view of the Bosphorus with a glass of wine. Here the magnificent decor of the mosques, and on the next street, Turkish children in rags play in the dust of the dilapidated pavement. Having lost all fear, cats hide from the scorching sun in the most unexpected places. The magical cuisine revives the taste buds (especially after a long stay in Bulgaria, where “sharena sol” is the only seasoning): aromatic coffee, truly magical Turkish delight made from pistachios and roses, spicy “menemen” omelette with a cheese crust, donruma of all colors of the flavor rainbow. In general, if you are suddenly bored with Shopska salad and the ruins of modern Sofia, get ready for new taste and visual impressions in Istanbul.

Freebies in Bansko
Bansko is considered the most budget ski resort in Europe. At worst, the city is called cheap. Cheapness and freebies attract tourists not from all over the world, as they say, but those who don’t have enough for “big” Europe, but really want to. It’s a pity, because Bansko is truly a unique place.
